Meeting summary
Christina met with Dan and Amanda to re-orient on the current tech + marketing setup for Rentwell, confirm access, and identify the last few blockers before launching paid campaigns. The biggest priority is restoring proper functionality on the main contact form so leads can be captured and conversions can be tracked reliably.
Key updates
- LeadSimple access: Dan confirmed LeadSimple sign-in is working, but end-to-end form testing is still in progress.
- Form/lead capture issue discovered: The rentwell.com/contact form (property owner contact form) is throwing an error on submission. A previous test lead had appeared in LeadSimple, but new tests were failing and/or not surfacing consistently.
- Primary CTA vs realistic user behavior: Christina confirmed the desired primary CTA is “book a meeting,” but Dan emphasized the site still needs a working general inquiry form for prospects not ready to book immediately.
- Conversion tracking requirement: Dan reiterated the importance of routing successful submissions to an existing thank-you page (not just a small confirmation message) so ad platforms (Google/Meta) can optimize for conversions and the Calendly embed can be presented post-submit.
- HubSpot → LeadSimple migration: ~869 contacts were carried over. Plan is to:
- Send a final value-add email blast over time (even slowly, e.g., 20/day).
- Export contacts to a Google Sheet to build/refresh custom audiences for Google + Meta retargeting.
- Confirm unsubscribe compliance in any outbound comms.
- YouTube access: Christina can’t invite admins to one needed YouTube channel under the “videos@rentwell” login. Next step is to try signing in as TJ (or Sean) to grant ownership/admin access. Worst case: create a new “master” channel under the account that already has proper ownership and deprecate the rest. Agreement to reduce public-facing channels to the essentials (primarily “Living Well with Rentwell” + the main Rentwell channel).
- LinkedIn: Rentwell has a LinkedIn page, but admin access can be handled later (background task), since Meta/IG/YouTube are higher priority.
- Content gap: Vi (intern) hasn’t delivered requested content; Christina will push again. Dan can have Hazel help fill the gap using the “intern podcast” content as source material.
- GoDaddy access: Christina emailed the master GoDaddy account email, texted Jake to add Dan, and Dan also triggered access/delegate from Many Results’ side. Waiting on approval email.
Decisions / agreements
- Top priority: Fix the contact form error and restore routing to the thank-you page (and confirm LeadSimple intake).
- Campaign timing: Target launch June 1 (clean month start), assuming the form + thank-you page flow passes end-to-end testing.
- Lead magnet/playbook workflow: Let Rob build the full multi-unit playbook in the format that works for Rob first, then later adapt it into a template/lead magnet format (avoid confusing Rob with an imposed template).
Action items
- Christina to coordinate with Jake to:
- Fix rentwell.com/contact submission error
- Ensure submissions route to the existing thank-you page
- Loop Dan in once it’s resolved so Dan can re-test end-to-end
- Christina to attempt YouTube admin access by signing in as TJ (and/or Sean) and invite Dan/team; if not possible, align on creating a new “master” channel and sunsetting extras.
- Christina to push Vi to deliver all collected content by end of week (and place it into the shared social media raw folder).
