This page is the master GTM Engine framework. It sits on top of LOOP (operating cadence) and ADM (execution filter) — it does not replace them. LOOP and ADM remain internal-only language. "The GTM Engine" is the public-facing name.

Sources folded in: MANY internal frameworks (LOOP, ADM, Marketing Plan Simplified), GTM engineering field research (r/gtmengineering, r/SaaS), and Demand Metric's State of Product & GTM Strategy Report (2022, n=150+ B2B leaders), and TK Kader's Unstoppable go-to-market coaching material — its six-step GTM plan, ICP, Manifesto, and Broadway show, translated from a SaaS-founder origin to MANY's SMB and local-business context. The two outbound playbooks at the end are industry-agnostic execution templates that plug into the Signal & Systems Layer.

The core idea

Most businesses treat go-to-market as a launch event. It's not. GTM is an engineered system — signals in, revenue out, running on a cadence.

Tools don't win GTM. Systems run by strategists do. The tactical layer (list building, workflow assembly, first-draft outreach) is being automated away across the industry; the durable value is buyer psychology, revenue architecture, and the judgment to decide what runs. That is exactly what MANY sells — this framework formalizes it.

Why discipline wins (the proof stats)

Architecture: five layers

The first three layers already exist and stay untouched. Layers 4 and 5 are what this framework adds.

Layer What it is Source
1. Strategy Map Marketing Plan Simplified — ICP, UVP, brand voice, SMART goals, channels, journey map Existing MANY IP
2. Operating Cadence LOOP — Launch → Operate → Optimize → Progress Existing MANY IP
3. Execution Filter ADM — Automate / Delegate / Mandate Existing MANY IP
4. Signal & Systems Layer Buying signals, data pipelines, enrichment, CRM hygiene, AI agents, automations New — GTM engineering research
5. Roles & Accountability GTM RACI — named owner for every motion and system New — Demand Metric findings

The strategy inputs (sharpening Layer 1 before the machine runs)

Layer 4 only pays off if the strategy above it is mandated first. The rule holds: get the strategy right and execution gets far easier — execution is mostly discipline and consistency. Skipping the strategy work is why most GTM motions fire blanks: real activity, no target. This section sharpens the inputs to Layer 1 (Marketing Plan Simplified); it does not replace it.

The mandated sequence (business context before tooling)

Run these in order before any channel turns on. Every step is strategist-Mandate work — never automated.

  1. Market & problem — define the bounding box: industry, role, company type, and the urgent, important, frequent problem you solve. Buyers act on problems, not features.
  2. The macro trend (the "why now") — name the big shift that proves the problem is real and urgent. It brings clarity and becomes the urgency driver in messaging. If you can't find the trend, you may be talking yourself into a problem that isn't there.
